Brad, Chris and I went up to the fields today so they could take part in the Knights of Columbus Soccer Shootout. Brad finished tied for 2nd in his age group. Chris was on track to win his group when he pulled his groin and could not finish. He hasn't played since May and I was afraid he would pull something.

Brad will be playing down in Braden River Oct 19-21 for the Braden River Halloween Havoc Soccer Tournament. This will be our team's first tournament together. Hopefully they play well.

Soccer is starting

Brad is playing competative soccer this year. He tried out for the team in June. We just started training a couple of weeks ago. I'm the assistant coach. Brad and another player from our team played a couple of friendlies with the other U9 team against other clubs. They played really well. We are playing in a jamboree on Saturday against U10 teams from some other clubs. It should be a challange playing up. I hope we can compete. It will be the first game conditions for our players together. Check out our website @ www.bfcflames9899.com .

The last story was fake!

Ok, so the reporter that shot the story in China made it up. But doesn't it still make you think. Where does our food come from? My Wife and I are starting to buy more and more food that is organic. It's important to know that your food is organic and local. Support you local farms and shops.

Chinese food 'made from cardboard'

Does that scare you? This is what they are feeding their own people. Do you think they care about what they ship to us here in the States? This is why I am starting to try to eat as much food that's local and organic. How do you do that when you don't know where the food in the store comes from? I was talking to a friend about that (see his blog at

Welcome to the Rainforest of the real

). We decided to start our own Organic Delivery Service. We will be serving the Fish Hawk area to start and then add other areas in Tampa Bay. I'll post a link to our website when we get it launched. Meanwhile, read the rest of the cardboard story at the link below. It is very scary.http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/asiapcf/07/12/cardboard.food.ap/index.html?iref=newssearch

I updated my website tonight. Check it out at Rob's Pods.

Wow, it's been a while since I posted anything. Football season was long and then we went straight into soccer at BAYSL. Brad's football team lost in the conference championship game. For soccer, Brad and Chris' teams went undefeated and took first place in their age groups. Chris' team also won the Brandon Cup in February. I'm now back on the Board at BAYSL as Tournament Director. My first tournament will be Thanksgiving weekend. Right now I'm working on a couple of businesses. One is Rob's Pods. You can check it out at Robspods.com

My other business will be with a couple of friends. We are working out the details now. Check back soon for more details.
